ABOUT DANNYCAKES

 

DannyCakes, LLC is an online bakery that specializes in cakes and cupcakes. We take the hassle out of your busy event planning to deliver your product right to your doorstep. Here at DannyCakes, LLC, we bring back traditional wholesome baking with quality ingredients, classic techniques and an eye for innovative design. DannyCakes, LLC has been happily serving the Coachella Valley area since 2013.

ORDERING

 

Orders must be placed BY EMAIL TWO (2) weeks prior to its due date. Due to excitingly high demand, DannyCakes, LLC cannot accept any orders less than a 2-week (14-days) time frame. Please allow 1-3 days for a reply. Emails will NOT be replied to on Friday-Saturday as those are high volume production days nor on Sunday-Monday as the shop will be closed. All orders require a nonrefundable 50% down of total cost and delivery options are available at additional charge. Once the product leaves sellers hands it is buyers responsibility to handle product with care and instruction that will be given upon delivery/pick-up. DannyCakes is not responsible for any product mishaps that may happen from that point forward.

Production of any orders cannot take place until nonrefundable 50% down payment is submitted by cash and/or processed by Square payment.

NOTE: Please be advised full cancelations will be entitled to a 5o% refund only. Any cancelations within 7-days of original due date are NOT entitled to a refund.

Orders for pickup or delivery before 10:00AM and after 3:00PM are subject to a 25% surcharge.

Cake tastings at $45.00 are available by appointment only with a minimum of one (1) week advance notice. Only six flavors will be allowed per cake tasting.

DannyCakes, LLC accepts cash and all major credit/debit card payments powered by Square.

"THE MAN BEHIND THE CAKES"

A native to the Coachella Valley, Danny Escamilla found his calling in cake design shortly after graduating high school in 2005. During that time a job opportunity presented itself within a local bakery and although this was an unexpected career path, Danny embraced it to the best of his abilities. Never picking up a piping bag before, it took him a lot of practice and patience but he soon realized that is where his passion lies. Only after a year of designing cakes, Danny enrolled in College of the Desert with a major in Culinary Arts and Management. It was there that he was taken under the wing of his mentor, Chef Stephen Beno, and learned to perfect his craft. As a student chef Danny was able to intern with celebrity chefs such as Rachael Ray and Dan and Steve from The Hearty Boy with Food Network during the Coachella Valley Food and Wine Festivals.

              In 2007 Danny was given the opportunity to work for a large national chain as a Corporate Baker Training Specialist where he instructed and educated fellow aspiring bakers. Within his five years there Danny was able to impact the lives of many by teaching them the tools and techniques they needed to apply in all aspects of the professional pastry world. Among his team of over 60 bakers, he also was responsible for co-running the Southern California district of 18 bakery-cafes. Discovering he had an knack for teaching others, this lead Danny to become a Wilton Method Cake Instructor where he was able to teach cake designing to his local community of the Palm Springs area.

              Given that Palm Springs is a vacation destination, celebration and the need for cakes are in high demand. This is where Danny started his freelance cake design company, DannyCakes, LLC in 2013. Being a part of people’s special days is where the drive comes from for Danny. He once said, “There is nothing like seeing the shocked and surprised faces when delivering a cake. Knowing that I could make their day extra special is all worth it for me… Even if I did spend four days on the cake they’re about to destroy!” Danny’s cake designs have sparked interest not only in his local community but also throughout Southern California; a great deal of his cakes are for clients in the Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego areas. He hopes to keep growing his business and possibly even reach areas outside of California.
